David Morrell - CREEPERS and SCAVENGER

Long live D.M.!

My first entry in this blog was about David Morrell's writing book, LESSONS FROM A LIFETIME OF WRITING.

Since then, he has become one of my favorite writers, and I realized I had never gotten around to blogging about his last novel, CREEPERS -

Shame on me! This is a fabulously creepy (pun intended) story but not what you might expect. "Creepers," (quoting Publisher's Weekly) is the name given to "infiltrators, urban explorers or city speleologists—men and women who outfit themselves with caving gear to break into and explore buildings that have long been closed up and abandoned."

This is one of those books that you can't put down. After hearing him speak at our writers' meeting, I was as eager to start reading CREEPERS as I was to get my hands on his next novel, SCAVENGER, is going to be just as thrilling.
